BISP Wallet Account Activation and Verification Method – Latest Update

Wallet Account activation is just around the corner. Before that date is announced, here is a simple breakdown of what you need to do, what to avoid, and how to know when your payment has arrived.

Instructions for Women Who Received Wallet SIMs

If you have already received your Wallet SIM, good news, you are one step ahead. But there are a few things you need to keep in mind before the activation window opens.

  • Keep your mobile number active and in regular use
  • Make sure your SIM is properly linked to your CNIC
  • Wait for the official instructions before going in for biometric verification

Face Verification for Fingerprint Issues

A lot of women, especially older beneficiaries, run into issues with fingerprint verification. If that has happened to you, do not worry. Face Verification through NADRA is a perfectly valid alternative, and the process is straightforward.

  • Visit your nearest NADRA office and bring your original CNIC with you
  • Request and complete the Face Verification process at the counter
  • Collect the verification certificate that NADRA issues to you
  • Take that certificate to your nearest BISP office and submit it

Note: Many women have not received their Wallet SIMs yet simply because of fingerprint issues. Getting your Face Verification done through NADRA can clear that hurdle and get the process moving again.

Do not open a Wallet Account on your own

Even if you already have your SIM in hand, please do not go ahead and open a wallet account yourself through Easypaisa or JazzCash. Those accounts are not connected to the BISP payment system and will not receive your Kafalat payments.

Note: Your official BISP Wallet Account will be created through the partner bank that is already assigned to your district. Opening an account anywhere else will not work for receiving your payments.

To give you a real example, if Bank Alfalah is the partner bank in your area, then your Wallet Account will be set up through Bank Alfalah specifically. When the time comes, you will need to visit an authorized Bank Alfalah agent nearby to complete your biometric verification, activate your account, and fulfill the Proof of Life requirement.

When Will Wallet Accounts Be Activated?

Wallet Account activation and biometric verification are expected to kick off next week. The exact date has not been confirmed yet, but an official announcement is expected soon.

How will you know when the money is in your account?

Once your installment has been deposited into your Wallet Account, you will get an official SMS from 8171 letting you know. That message is your confirmation that the payment is ready and available for withdrawal.
